DDHS is Darwin’s only Aboriginal community-controlled health service, with seven clinics in the region catering to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.

In each of the seven clinics vaccine and pharmaceuticals are stored in refrigerators. Each refrigerator is monitored by a T-TEC wireless data logger. Temperature updates, alarms  and file downloads are automatically sent through the gateway and the local WiFi to the TempReport® cloud storage. The actual temperatures from all seven clinics are always on the PC screen at head office. Alarms and updates may be sent to the mobile phones .

Nick Kirlew, the ICT Manager of Danila Dilba has the following comments:

As anyone in our industry knows the “Cold Chain” is a vital tool in the delivery of an effective health care. Vaccines and medicines must remain within a defined temperature range for the life of the product.

If they fall out of that range the products may need to be destroyed. This is costly and prevents us from carrying out our business until replacements are sourced

Temperature Technology have provided excellent support and as we have grown our fleet of monitoring sites TT have provided rapid configuration and delivery of new devices.

Highly recommended.
